Overview Aramo is the new selective post emergence herbicide for the control of grass weeds in broadleaf crops. Aramo controls annual ryegrass, barley grass, brome grass, phalaris, wild oats, volunteer wheat, vol. barley, vol trit. and vol oats. Aramo can be used on canola, lupins, chickpeas, faba beans, field peas, lentils, subclover and vetch crops.
Recommended Uses For the control of certain grass weeds in canola, chickpeas, faba beans, field peas, lentils, lupins, subclover and vetch, as per the DIRECTIONS FOR USE table.
Advantages Aramo is one of a number of 2nd generation herbicides which contain a chlorine atom - linked to improved control of a range of grass weeds. Being a DIM herbicide it is particularly active on ryegrass.
Benefits The most powerful control of ryegrass, whilst providing superior or equal control (to the current DIMS) of a range of other grass weeds.Aramo offers greater consistency, superior efficacy and more rapid brownout than current available standards.
Mode of Action Aramo contains tepraloxydim and is a cyclohexanedione or DIM herbicide belonging to the Group A herbicides. In susceptible plants Aramo acts by binding to and inhibiting the function of Acetyl coA carboxylase, the enzyme which catalyses fatty acid synthesis. Inhibition of fatty acid synthesis blocks the production of phospholipids, which are used in building cell membranes and required for cell growth. Following absorption into the plants, Aramo is rapidly absorbed and translocated throughout the plant and to the roots. Growth ceases within a few days of application, with young actively growing tissue affected first. Weeds cease to compete with the crop very quickly.
General Instructions Mixing
To ensure even mixing, half-fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required amount of product. Add spray additive and agitate thoroughly, then add the remainder of the water. Agitate again before spraying commences.

Application
Apply ARAMO by ground application only. ARAMO should be applied with calibrated spray equipment producing a median droplet range of 200 to 300 microns VMD. Apply in a minimum of 50 litres of water per hectare. Use 150 L/ha when spraying dense populations. Excellent coverage is required for control of advanced weeds.

Compatibility
ARAMO is compatible with the following grass herbicides: Verdict, Shogun, Targa and Fusion. ARAMO is also compatible with Lontrel.
ARAMO may also be applied in tank mixtures with any one of the following products: Fastac Duo, omethoate, Talstar, deltamethrin, chlorpyrifos.
ARAMO may also be mixed with dimethoate but only at the higher rates of ARAMO.
The following adjuvants are compatible with ARAMO: Hasten, D-C Trate, Kwickin, Uptake and Enhance.
Do NOT mix ARAMO with Basagran.

Cleaning
Spray tanks, pumps, lines and nozzles should be thoroughly rinsed several times with clean water after application. Use of a household detergent will aid in cleaning of equipment. Add detergent to the spray tank and thoroughly circulate through pumps, hoses and nozzles. Thoroughly rinse several times with clean water.

Crop Safety
Apply ARAMO in canola only up to the 8-leaf stage, or the commencement of stem elongation, which ever is the earliest. DO NOT allow spray overlapping as crop injury may occur.

Restraints Do NOT apply without the addition of an adjuvant.
Do NOT apply to crops or weeds stressed by factors such as root or foliar diseases, water-logging, nutrient deficiencies, or extremes of temperature and moisture.
Do NOT apply if rain is expected within one hour of application.
Do NOT apply ARAMO Herbicide more than once to any one crop.
Resistance Warning ARAMO Herbicide is a member of the cyclohexanedione group of herbicides. The product has the inhibition of acetyl coA carboxylase mode of action. For weed resistance management, the product is a Group A herbicide.
Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to the product and other Group A herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by this product or other Group A herbicides.
Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, BASF Australia Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds.
Protection of wildlife, fish, crustaceans and environment Do NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers.
Protection of crop, native and other non-target plants Do NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, pastures or nontarget plants.
Do NOT apply within 5 m upwind of sensitive native grasslands.
Safety Directions Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and water. If product in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use. When opening the container and preparing spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing), elbow-length nitrile gloves and face shield or goggles. When using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and elbow-length PVC or nitrile gloves. After each day's use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing.
Storage Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, wellventilated area out of direct sunlight.
Disposal Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals onsite. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should NOT be burnt.
Precautions Re-entry Period
Do NOT allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. If prior entry is necessary, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.
