Registered For Commercial Use Domestic Use Overview Amitrole T provides non-selective control of all kinds of annual, biannual and perennial weeds. It is a particularly useful rotational herbicide for vineyard, orchard and non-crop situations. In addition it controls a range of problem weeds not effectively controlled by glyphosate. Recommended Uses Amitrole may be used in vineyards and orchards, aquatic areas such as drains and channels, pinus radiata plantations; non-crop areas; pre-planting wheat and barley. Refer to label for all instructions and directions for use. Benefits An alternative to glyphosate for non-selective weed control; Controls problem weeds such as stinging nettles, marshmallow, hairy willow herb and clover; A useful rotational herbicide for vineyard, orchard and non-crop situations. Mode of Action Amitrole T belongs to a group of herbicides called triazoles. Amitrole T works by rapid absorption (generally through plant leaves) and translocation to inhibit cell growth. Once absorbed it can take up to 8 weeks before full effects are seen. Leaves gradually turn white before plants become fully desiccated. Chemical Group triazole General Instructions Application Use recommended rates of Amitrole T in 100 to 500L of clean water per hectare using booms or directed nozzles. Use higher water rates for denser weed swards. When using knapsack equipment apply 900 to 1100L per hectare (1L/10m2). DO NOT apply by air. DO NOT apply by misting machines. Mixing To improve the efficiency of AmitroleT, it is recommended that LI700 or Activator be added to the spray mixture at 0.1% (100mL/100L). LI 700 or Activator are not required when tank mixing with Nufarm Credit+ Bonus, WeedmasterDuo or RoundupBiactive. Compatibility Amitrole T is physically compatible with the following products. WeedmasterDuo, Credit+ Bonus, RoundupBiactive, RoundupCT, Roundup PowerMAX, Amicide625, Nu-trazine 900DF, Nu-trazine 600, Simazine 900DF, Simazine Flowable, Diuron 900DF, Diuron Flowable, Bromicide 200, Nuquat 250TM, Propon, Strikerand sulfometuron-methyl. Restraints DO NOT apply if rain is expected within 6 hours of application. Resistance Warning Amitrole T Herbicide is a member of the triazole group of herbicides. Amitrole T has the inhibitors of carotenoid biosynthesis mode of action. For weed resistance management, Amitrole T is a Group Q herbicide. Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to Amitrole T and other Group Q herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Amitrole T and other Group Q herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Nufarm Australia Limited accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds. Protection of wildlife, fish, crustaceans and environment DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers. Protection of crop, native and other non-target plants Drift Warning This product is a non selective herbicide and may damage crops, pastures and some ornamentals. However it is safer to use near plants susceptible to phenoxy type herbicides. Spray drift may occur under adverse meteorological conditions or from certain spray equipment. DO NOT allow spray to drift onto sensitive areas including, but not limited to, susceptible plants/crops, cropping land, pasture, natural streams, rivers, wetlands or waterways and human dwellings. Safety Directions Do not inhale spray mist. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. Storage Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Envirodrum 110 L Mini Bulk Returnable Container: Store in original sealed Envirodrum in a cool, well ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Do not tamper with the Micro Matic valve or the security seal. Do not contaminate the Envirodrum with water or any other foreign matter. Disposal Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt. Refillable Containers: Empty contents fully into application equipment. Close all valves and return to point of supply for refill or storage. Envirodrum 110 L Mini Bulk Returnable Container: After each use of the product, please ensure that the Micro Matic coupler, delivery system and hoses are disconnected, triple rinsed with clean water and drained accordingly. When the contents of the Envirodrum have been used, please return the empty Envirodrum to the point of purchase. The Envirodrum remains the property of Nufarm Australia Limited.
